1. How Production Bonuses Work

In Albion Online, refining and crafting outside specialized cities results in significant resource loss. Each of the five Royal Cities offers a +40% local production bonus for refining one specific raw resource, along with +15% production bonuses for selected weapon, armor, and gear families.

The Return Rate Formula:
Return rates follow the formula: RRR = Bonus / (100 + Bonus).
A Royal City inherently provides an 18% base bonus (15.2% RRR). When combined with the +40% specialty bonus (total 58%), your base return rate rises to 36.7% without Focus, and climbs to 53.9% when Focus is utilized.

2. Royal Cities Refining Specialties

Always transport raw materials to their corresponding bonus city before refining. Processing on personal islands or non-bonus cities severely diminishes profit margins.
